My closing documents were wrong 3 times. The closing process was not clearly explained to me. I had to be on the phone sometimes with PennyMac 2-3 times per day leading up to my closing to make sure everything was actually accurate. My loan officers wouldn’t return my calls when they said that they would.
My electronic experience was great. However, the in-person experiences were not. The appraiser nor the closer wore masks and/or gloves to my home. I would think with a pandemic they would have more regard for me and my family.
The entire team could have done a better job of giving a weekly update for a process that took a few months. I know this is standard in my job. I can’t blame any one person because this appears to be a PennyMac-wide issue. The automated email updates with no information are useless. Because they are useless, they end up being annoying. A simple, comprehensive weekly update would add tremendous value to your customers. In the end, Brittany made it right, and was quite congenial.
