After reading several five star reviews in order to select going to PIC - Wicker Park, I was beyond disappointed at the service I received. So much so, this is the first negative yelp review I have written. Namely, the clinic was extremely inefficient. After signing in I was told it would be a 25-35 minute wait. Be warned. They will charge you 5x the normal amount of a hospital or Dr.'s office. Avoid at all costs.
Any other immediate care, I would suggest going to. I went here feeling awful sore throat stuffy head fever. Saw a young male doctor, he told me to go to Walgreens for Flonase. Next day I felt even worse, I went back and saw a woman doctor. She put me on 875 mg of an anabiotic-yes I was sick! She took a culture on me and told me I would get results within 24 to 48 hours. Please be warned about their billing practices! Even with good insurance (BCBS PPO), this company wil charge whatever card they have on file for you (credit/debit) without your knowledge or consent for the entire amount not covered by your insurance company. I was unknowingly charged almost $500 from my debit card account for a balance that my insurance company did not cover. Waiting three hours. Only one doctor on staff. The business' name lies. (5-7-5) Staff is nice, facility is nice, business model is a farce if they're only keeping one doctor on the floor.
Prior to a jam-packed weekend, I wasn't feeling my best. Upon arriving, the staff warmly greeted me and promptly entered my information into the system. For those who are visiting, they do accept Aetna and other major insurance providers. They don't accept any form of obamacare situation or medicaid medicare. They basically suck for that. Doesn't seem to make any sense. Staff isn't very friendly either. Definitely wouldn't return.
