Joe responded to my enquiry immediately and was able to come and provide an estimate at short notice. He was polite and incredibly informative, taking the time to walk me through all the details and possible options available to me. He provided me with an estimate on the spot and then followed up with a call a few days later to see whether I had made a decision. I feel that the service provided by Polar Bear was fairly perfuntory. My AC is working intermittently but I do not believe that my furnace which is only 5 years old needs replacement. I am still trying to troubleshoot the problem. Polar Bear did not do a thorough inspection and they were pricey.

Our 2-year-old AC unit mysteriously went out the first few days of June this year. We found Polar Bear in the Capitol Hill community resource book and gave them a call. Initially, they sent over a technician who tried to diagnose the problem and remedy it. He found that there was something wrong with the pressure, so he recharged our coolant. He was right, works fine except when it gets over 100, and even then nothing too bad. Work was done quickly and professionally and at the estimated cost. would recommend them to everyone i know.

Both units required inspection of the outdoor compressors and the indoor air handlers. Johnny identified and fixed all problems expeditiously -- within about 90 minutes.

This is a very responsive company. When you have a problem with heat or a/c, you want someone to come quickly. Every time I call them they're available very quickly, and their staff is courteous and professional. We thought we had a big problem with our boiler but the technician explained that the problem was in the chimney/flu. Easy to fix, and no need for an expensive repair to boiler. We will continue to use Polar Bear.

We asked for estimates from 3 companies to replace our old heating and AC system with an new energy efficient system. The Polar Bear sales rep arrived on time and gave us a well-informed estimate. Not only was he knowledgeable about the system, but he was also knowledgeable about the IRS tax laws that gave us the largest tax break for our investment. The price was good. Polar Bear owner, Joe Kelly gave us the best cost estimate of two reliable contractors we contacted from Angie's List. In fact, the cost with Polar Bear was about 2,000K less than the other contractor, even though the products were the same. The crew came out on time, were very careful and efficient, and had the whole thing up and running within four hours. They were reasonably priced. I liked their option best of the different companies that came out. They had the best solution for our older home. They did a good job. It took a little longer than they said it would. I had a couple of small issues that came up. They came back and fixed those and didn't charge me.
