The price is right. You deal directly with the owner; you don't have to go through a lot of middle men so if something goes wrong, you deal directly with owner. They seem to be courteous, honest, considerate and efficient.
The service call went very well. The approach was professional and timely. The technician, Kyle was about customer service and even arrive early!
Fast service. The guy that came out turned off the furnace and told us we needed a new one and provided an estimate for the work. We have a home warranty, so we didn't end up using Polar Bear, but the guy was really nice and was available by phone to explain to us and the warranty company what the problem was.
It went really well. I was a little taken a back, since he arrived in plain clothes (no uniform), in an unmarked van, with not even a business card to hand me. However, he performed a great job, even offering to vacuum up his mess (a rare offer, in my book).
Called in the morning with the problem, the coordinator/receptionist was great on the phone and had me booked for that afternoon. The technician showed up 15 mins. Into the promised window of time. Worked quickly and efficiently. Will use again.
Called Polar and Joe Kelly came out to give me an estimate. He understands the complexities of outfitting these narrow row-houses with central A/C. He suggested a rooftop system that I had not even considered. After thoroughly discussing this with him, I went with that plan. I was very pleased with them. They stayed right to the estimate. They finished the project ahead of schedule. They kept is informed as the job was being done. I am very satisfied with what they did.
Joe Kelly came out himself and walked us through what we needed and how the whole process worked. He was very helpful and he was very slow and deliberate, he seemed to know that spending $5K was a big deal to us. We took his information and called him the next day to confirm we wanted to go with his company after a couple of other estimates. The guy who came over was a little early and very helpful. I was a little bit uncomfortable with them in my home, because he used my bathroom and stunk up my house.
