Cleaned pool okay but didn't last long Piece of junk. 3 years old 1 month out if warranty errors for drive motor. $700 for replacement motor block. Why replace entire block when problem is for a single drive motor Was able to find the tiny drive motor and gearbox on ebay. These parts not available from manufacturer. Replaced motor lasted the next season and other motor failed. $1800 mistake do not buy this thing

My old P965IQ was better than my new AlphaIQ Alpha doesn’t climb to the water line it falls 1 foot short.This didn’t happen with the P965IQ

It does not clean like the last one i had ! Leaves debris in pool ! Cord constantly gets twisted !

We suggest placing only the required amount of cable into the water to allow it to reach the farthest end of your pool with remaining cable on the pool deck You can also untangle the twisted cord and lay in sun to reduce memory. We found the standard basket mesh not fine enough. We bought the fine mesh basket which worked much better. After a cycle is completed, we lose connection and it runs for maybe another 10 minutes before it shows as being idle. At this point we can use the lift system. Not a big deal, but annoying.

I used Dolphin pool cleaner for many years in the past. When it was time to replace it I wanted the best in the market so with the recommendation of the sale person I bought this Polaris machine. I have a 20’ x 40’ pool and this machine does not pick up fine sand on the bottom. I went ahead and purchased ultra fine basket for this, and send the machine more than 5 times to clean the bottom. The cleaner works pretty good. Not as good as our old dolphin. Cleans most areas but when it is done there is still some dirt around the bottom. It doesn’t seem to have as good of suction as our old one.

Filter does not take out finer particles that settle out to the bottom of the pool. Is there a finer filter I ca n get to put in the cleaner?

The Polaris Alpha performs very well in cleaning the sides and bottom of the pool; however, the surface debris gets caught on the cord which means that either I have to clean up with a net or keep running the filter after the vac is removed from the pool. Personally, knowing what I know now, I would not have purchased it to replace my Polaris 360. I am a senior with back issues and it is painful to lift and remove from the pool.
