My Polaris p825 keeps stopping and the error message says it has a clog. But nothing is clogging it and the basket has barely anything in it. So when it does it’s job and starts gathering dirt, it all together stops. I clean it completely and it will start again and work for a few minutes for me to rinse, repeat. Frustrating!

We suggest removing the filter canister, removing the screws from the silver piece in the middle and then carefully pulling the silver piece off. This is our 2nd pool cleaner, having replaced a 3-yr old Dolphin DX3 that gave up the ghost. The positive: This bot is much easier to clean than the Dolphin; the transparent top allows you to gauge how much debris is in the basket, and removing the basket and cleaning both it and the bot are much easier than it was with the Dolphin - whereas the dual-A-frame filters of the Dolphin required 10-15 minutes to clean, the P825 can be cleaned in less than half the time. This cleaner works pretty good. We have a rectangle shaped pool and there was consistently 2 areas where it wouldn't clean so we would have to run the cleaner through 2 cycles to have a clean pool......this meant running it for 3 hours most times.

Have owned this pool cleaner just over 2 yrs, have had to replace belts 4X @ $60.00 a pair. The pool cleaner worked great for the 1st 1 1/2 as far as cleaning. It is now not cleaning as well as it did The unit gets power but very sluggish. We really take care of the unit and clean it everytime we use it thinking the basket is not clean enough. I have had problems with this vacuum . I bought it last season and it broke halfway through the season. The cord kept tangling and I was told to stretch it out which I did. The very minute I put it in the pool it tangled worse pulling the base and all in with it. I took it to Leslie's and they told me I was 3 weeks past warranty. I needed a new cord at 275.00 they didn't even try to help untangle it . They were not helpful at all I was very disappointed. Well instead of buying a new cord I decided to fix it myself.
