The Zodiac/Polaris PB4-60 is the OEM replacement booster pump for my Polaris 280 cleaner. My pool is 15 years old and this is my 3rd or 4th Polaris pump. In my case, the cleaner runs a lot and the pump sits out in the open year round so the abuse level is somewhat high. Easy to install Used this product to replace a 20-yr old Polaris Booster PB4 pump. Very easy to install, especially since it came with adapters for the hose.
Some design flaws and noisy The hardest part of the install was removing the back plate of the pump and connecting the electrical wires to the contact points inside the pump. You really have to manipulate the wires and the contact points to get everything connected. This part of the installation could be made so much simpler without much design effort or cost.
