Great pump so far. I have used sta-rite (now owned by pentair) pumps and they work fine. A bit louder. They last maybe 4 years. The last one i had was a pentair. Fairly quiet butt only lasted 2 years. The pentair was a 1 hp, the zodiac is 3/4hp but has more power and a much bigger motor. ITT seems more heavy duty to me. I purchased the zodiac because it is the company that makes the Polaris pumps. I have a Polaris sweep so why not a Polaris booster. check your voltage. The motor comes wired internally for 220V you can change to 110V. follow the wire diagram on the side of the pump to change the windings. It took a little longer to receive then I thought but worth the wait.
Direct Replacement for Original Pump After shopping around a bit I found this pump to be reasonably priced, especially considering I received it in two days. It runs very quiet and works ads well as my original did when it was new.
