I love the pump when it is working. Quiet, Efficient. Unfortunately the pump design is greatly flawed. Google it, people are plagued with leaks and spontaneous cracking of the housing. Not convinced? Try buying a pump housing - Out of Stock around the planet because of the shear number of failures. Housing has been redesigned but try getting one. Housing cracked and started leaking within 2 years and can’t find the part. Have a knockoff coming from China and will try to repair but the housing failure seems common, as well as the problem finding repair parts. Regret buying it.

Pump has developed several pin hole leaks in the housing. I am currently waiting a replacement pump under warranty.

This was the second time I had to replace my PB4SQ booster pump due to the housing cracking. I would not recommend anyone install this pump. Also there is no warranty unless it is installed by a pool professional.

Only because you can't give 0 starts. Worst PIECE OF $H!T pump...EVER!!! We've bought 2 in the past 2 years and both have failed on the front side. The plastic housing has cracked on both. We have a heated pool and live in Texas so there is not reason for them to have failed other than poor quality! We will never buy another POLARIS product again. EVER!!!

Motor broke in less than 2 years - leaked water for days. Out of warranty and needing to purchase new unit out of pocket. Not exactly reliable machinery.
