The new PB4SQ is a game changer. It is so quiet, my clients don't even know its running!

Pardon my ignorance as a Brit new to living in the States, but I thought everything in my home was 110v, but it turns out my pool equipment is 220v! So NEARLY rewired this unit (as covered in the instructions) to 110v but double checked with my pool supplier first to find the above. Anyway, that aside, this unit was incredibly easy to install even for me as a simple DIY fan who usually avoids plumbing of any kind! Now up and running and does its job incredibly quietly too. Well pleased!

This is a great pump. It runs very quiet and was super easy to install. It even contained the necessary hose and connections for installation.

Would not recommend this Polaris pump. I had it installed brand new in 2022, runs seasonally from May to September. It sprung a leak one year after warranty - had to pay a premium for replacement. Go with Pentair or another brand.

Business response:

Your pump died after 11 months of operation and I called your company and they see that I bought it 11 months ago and it is fully under warranty. However, they would not do anything for me because a professional electrician did not hook it up. This pump was a replacement to an existing pump and your hook up only takes two screws to an electrical wire. I was not going to pay an electrician to hook this pump up or unhook it. I feel like your product has absolutely no warranty on it because they said my electrician would have t... read more

We install 5 of these booster pumps at different location all of them started leaking after 4,5 months. I called customer service and they refused to provide any fix...worst Custom service I would never buy their products

Business response:

We are sorry you've had a frustrating experience, Frankie. In order for your pump to be covered under warranty, we require that it be installed by a certified pool professional. We’re not sure if you’re a certified pool professional based on your contact information. Please email us at customerfeedback@fluidra.com if you'd like to share more information so we can get a better understanding of your situation. Thank you, Your Polaris Team

Pump failed after one year. I installed a new one and they won’t warranty the old one if it isn’t install. I needed to get my pool going and couldn’t wait.

Business response:

We are sorry you had a frustrating experience, Robert. Since electrical wiring and plumbing are required for this installation, as well as general knowledge of how to install pool equipment without causing product damage, we cannot warrant a booster pump if it's not installed by a qualified pool professional. While we understand your frustration, this requirement protects homeowners from serious safety risks and ensures the product performs properly. Thank you, Your Polaris Team

The great thing about this pump is how quiet it is. The bad, within a month after installation the pump developed a leak and they would not cover it under warranty. We had a very cold spell a week before the leak developed so they said it was probably due to the cold. Luckily we had a pool service install the pump and they fixed it for no cost to us. If I had the choice I would have replaced the pump with a different brand due to the poor customer service.

Business response:

We're sorry you had a frustrating experience so soon after your booster pump was installed, Pamela. We looked up your account and didn't see any notes or history of a warranty call. We've sent you an email from customerfeedback@fluidra.com so we can gather more information and better understand your situation. All the best, Your Polaris Team
