Does an okay job I did a lot of research on vacuum for pool. I had one of these before in a prior pool. I don’t think there is any vacuum cleaner for pool that work very well. The issue with the Polaris is that it doesn’t go everywhere in the pool no matter how you change the jets and it is fairly fragile. It does its job at 80%
4 wheels are better than 3 The one this replaces was a 4-wheeler, same brand, and was better. I bought this one at the suggestion of a "pool fool". It also tangles often and sprays water on the house, cars, etc. It does clean the pool but gets hung up fairly often. The other one didn't.
Installed Quickly and Easily Our ancient 280 finally gave up the ghost this spring. We knew it had to be replaced quickly to clean the debris in our pool after opening. The old one came with our house/pool and we liked it so much that we had no problem making the decision to purchase a new one. Very little assembly required. Performance and reliability. The Polaris 280 is my preferred pool cleaner. While there are other pool cleaners that offer more bells and whistles, this is my go-to favorite. It’s hard to beat consistent performance and reliability.

Repeat purchase This is our second Polaris 280. 1st unit worked great for almost 9 years so a great value I'd say. The new Polaris seems to be faster, racing around my 26,000 gallon in ground pool. No need to buy fancier models at more cost, this is a great value and works fantastic.
Wheels Wheels stop from turning occasionally. Once I rotate them it starts up again.
works great still pricey for an old model, but it's a fantastic vacuum. replaced a very old one and works great. it's already assembled and has plenty of hose length.
