Absolutely love the place would be more interested in the villas which I understand. There is a waiting list, but I am not in a hurry. I need at least a year to downsize and sell my home.

I wish I could convince my dad not to move. He looks better than he has in years and has gained some mobility back.

An amazing place. It was a great transition place for my mother from CA in [date removed]. Started not knowing true condition mentally, or physically after my father's death, since I was in SC and was being told different things. I had to start with her placed in Assisted Living , fully furnished, etc. Spent 2 - 3 weeks in that section of Portside. Then we moved her in Independent Living section where she did great. My mom (92) has lived at Portside for a year now and is very pleased with her choice. She first downsized from her house of 50 years in upstate NY to a two bedroom condo by the ocean for 6 years, but when she stopped driving, socialization became more challenging. The overall facility amenities and activities were the reason we chose Portside at Grande Dunes. FYI of all the facilities that we visited in the Myrtle Beach area this was the nicest by a lot.

I love the warmth of residents and staff. The concierge is a huge benefit and blessing to visitors and residents. The activities director and staff do an excellent job along with transportation to and from church, appointments, grocery stores and banking.

My mom and stepdad have been very happy at Portside, they are very engaged and stay busy. Physical therapy is on site and they are staying mobile in the independent care side. So much better than being home alone with not much interaction. They are eating much better too! It has been a blessing for our family.
