We would absolutely recommend this community to anyone, they are outstanding. They are taking such great care of our loved one, they are already vaccinating their residents and their communication with our family has been excellent.

I chose Portside at Grande Dunes because of the location and my family researched it and liked the reviews the facility got. It is a beautiful place, they just opened a new division of independent living which is very nice and we get new people all the time. We have 4 new chefs so the food is improving from what it was. Overall, I love it here, it is a very warm and loving community.

We chose Portside at Grande Dunes because of the quality of the facility. It was brand new, it had a very bright feeling, it almost felt like you were on a cruise ship. The room sizes were very generous, my father in law had a one bedroom apartment that was very nice. It would be a spectacular apartment for anybody, let alone assisted living residents. This is a very lovely community, the building is gorgeous. When you walk in the entrance it has great big ceilings, three stories tall. You can sit outside the entry way on comfy seats and outdoor furniture. It is covered so you can sit outside even when it rains. The house keeping is good, they keep everything very clean. My husband is very happy here. I don't think they pay quite enough attention to the residents to brush their teeth. The staff is very friendly. I think they do care for the residents, which is a plus, and the care givers are very kind. I wouldn't want to take my husband out of here. From what I know, I think they are providing adequate activities. I think it is a little expensive, but the level of care is very good. The transportation accommodations could be slightly better. Overall we are very satisfied.

5 for everything except food, 3 for food. What we like the most about the community is the great staff and the open, quality environment. Yes, we would recommend Portside at Grande Dunes communities to other families based on the experience so far.

Staff is friendly, it's in a beautiful and ideal location, beautifully decorated, SC house calls and visits, activities for everyone, transportation to appointments, etc. It allows my Mom to be independent while still feeling safe. Everything has been wonderful minus the food really needs improvement

My mom has made friends there and she likes her little social group but she does keep to her apartment a lot lately because the communication has been so bad there. Many changes over the year, on the third exec director, and have had too many chef changes and some weeks without a head chef, food has been bad. She pays for the meals it is all included but instead she buys groceries and cooks for herself. I was previously a resident at Portside at Grande Dunes. I would not recommend Portside to anyone. The meals were very repetitive and not that good. The two of us were paying almost $[removed] a month and it is definitely not worth it.
