My mom has made friends there and she likes her little social group but she does keep to her apartment a lot lately because the communication has been so bad there. Many changes over the year, on the third exec director, and have had too many chef changes and some weeks without a head chef, food has been bad. I was previously a resident at Portside at Grande Dunes. I would not recommend Portside to anyone. The meals were very repetitive and not that good. The two of us were paying almost $[removed] a month and it is definitely not worth it.

I would NOT recommend putting your loved in Portside facility in their Memory Care unit. The staff is awful and wont do anything unless asked. The staff is nothing more than not very good housekeepers at best. They are also they are woefully understaffed. The facility is new and nice and not run well. Anywhere is better than this based on the care provided.
