We lost a pending sale of our home due to very negative unfounded inspection report. We hired an engineer to inspect our home and negated all the "faults" comfort spec appeared to find. I don't think the comfortspec inspector had any experience other than selling real estate. We were able to sell our home after spending $1000 to have it re inspected by an engineer.

Sooo where to I begin.... we are selling our home and the person buying our house had comfortspec come out for an inspection. My wife child and dog left the house while I went to work. The inspection took place at 1pm. I finished work and got home at about 645pm. I came home, nobody was there and the front door was open! Not unlocked but literally the door was left open! Although I gave a review earlier on, I wish to add Some comments. I have found out from my neighbors that radon is prevalent in Pennsylvania. Apparently, my area is a "hot spot".My neighbors have all had the radon levels in their homes tested. I used Comfortspec 2 times and the dangers of radon were never discussed at all. I was not offered the opportunity to opt for the levels of radon to be test in my future home. Since I am from out of state, I had no idea about the dangers of having high radon levels in ones home. Comfort spec is by far the worst company I have ever worked with and will never use their services again. One should expect to be highly disappointed. Please do not use this company as in doing so will bring on much unneeded stress. They provided terrible service at the property and the follow up customer service was repulsive.. I’m surprised Yelp allows this. We didn’t do your report, our reports are 30 pages and we’re not even close to the cheapest inspector in town. Would you shop around for the cheapest heart doctor? This is the most expensive purchase of most people’s lives so this isn’t the time to be cheap.
Poor experience from the beginning with terrible customer service throughout the inspection process. If you are expecting a thorough, detailed inspection report look elsewhere. ComfortSpec has an excellent marketing departing which claims price matches as well as money back guarantees if not satisfied. Don't expect for them to follow through on either, as it is purely an advertising scam. Not to mention, a phony 90-day warranty which when pressed on, means absolutely nothing.

I would NEVER use this company again for Home Inspection. I purchased a home and hired these guys to inspect the home prior to purchase. They missed that the house wasn't up to code per the city. Thats a pretty huge mistake. They missed that the sewer wasn't vented to the outside and there was no trap for the sewer that any plumber could locate. The sewer fumes were going back into the house.
