We had a short time frame for dinner but were graciously supported by the waitdtaff we had the damcing shrimp shared as the appetizer It was verynicely presented Coconut tempura batteted colossal shrimp were cooked perfectly They were laced on skewerson a globe with pineapple skewers and several sauces. Food was OK, but our server was efficient and cheerful. Dressing on Cobb salad was mediocre, English muffins with Eggs Benedict were not real muffins - too skinny! We had a nice lunch there and would go back because it is very convenient to Carnegie Hall!
One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a while
Lovely pre Carnegie Hall concert meal with my partner. Seafood is way to go here. The coconut sizzling shrimp a star of the table.
Great atmosphere, great service, great food, great drinks
Not the cheapest restaurant, but worth it. I had the Lobster Mac and cheese, and it was awesome. There is very nice live music on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. I would definitely go back.
We ate in the bar/lounge area during Happy Hour. The area is very nice looking. The bar/lounge was about 40% full. It look a bit for them to take our order. They never came by asking if things were okay and if we wanted another drink (which we did). When they came to clear our plates, they asked if we wanted another drink (it was now 6:10, happy hour ends at 6). We asked if we could get another drink at Happy Hour prices and they said no. Outdoor table was very pleasant for dinner. Came back the next night. Crab cake with shrimp was perfectly cooked. Spinach side dish was generous.. Across the street from Carnegie Hall. Carnegie Hall members get a 10% discount. Will be back whenever in NYC visiting Carnegie Hall.
I expected more of a lunchtime crowd and was pleasantly surprised to find that we were seated quickly in an uncrowded area. The food is delicious, as always, and each of us in our small party of three took advantage of the Prix Fixe menu offerings. While my colleagues started with the greek salad that looked fresh and amazing, I started with the shrimp cocktail.
