Outdoor table was very pleasant for dinner. Came back the next night. Crab cake with shrimp was perfectly cooked. Spinach side dish was generous.. Across the street from Carnegie Hall. Carnegie Hall members get a 10% discount. Will be back whenever in NYC visiting Carnegie Hall.
I expected more of a lunchtime crowd and was pleasantly surprised to find that we were seated quickly in an uncrowded area. The food is delicious, as always, and each of us in our small party of three took advantage of the Prix Fixe menu offerings. Great service from the time we arrived until we departed.
The food, the atmosphere, everything was excellent. Beautiful setting and incredible presentation of the food. But the real star of Redeye Grille is the service! Outstanding from the moment we were greeted at the door to our exit. The waiter knew the menu inside out, and made valuable suggestions for each of us. Sat us by the service bar with the door going to the outside patio right behind us. Gusts of wind kept blowing through our meal. other patrons were complaining about it also. Our waiter was very good but very busy. Working hard! P.S. The women’s bathroom was filthy. Toilet overflowing with wet floor. 
Fun place with cool atmosphere and great food! BUT the waiter upsold us on everything which was annoying (suggested $46 lobster mac n cheese when our first choice of $20 mashed potato side was unavailable and asked us if we wanted him to bring garlic bread to start and then after he gave us the menus we realized that was a $10 appetizer). Otherwise, it was a typical delicious and overpriced meal in Manhattan, a great way to kick off an evening before attending the concert at Carnegie Hall across the street.
food great. Matre d, Ritch is the best in town. The new beer burgers are very good, and of course the banana cream pie is amazing
