The onion rings were fried too hard. The Korean sweet and spicy chicken is outstanding!! The mocktails are great! The pianist was exceptional. He was a mix between John Legend and Prince. This is my second time coming here within a month. I’ll be back!
Try the lobster Mac and cheese; it’s a great take on traditional comfort food.
Awesome combinations offered on the Restaurant Week prix fixe menu. Our server was good, not exactly friendly, but efficient. When I mentioned that it was my business guest’s birthday, she simply replied with an obligatory “oh, well happy birthday.” I didn’t expect a parade from her, but something more that a brief statement that made it sound like it was trouble to be kind. Meet and greet was brilliant. In the end I went to a footpath table. With glass between me and the passers by. I watched a lovers spat as they stopped to talk on the steps. I was so glad he stayed to the end. Good man. The service was prompt and kind. The food was very good. Steak cooked near perfect - although not quite the usual filet Mignon recipe I expected. The fries with skin mostly on were so good although served with ketchup rather than aoli. Good value.
When the weather is "perfect," one cannot improve on time spent on the "patio" at the Redeye Grill. The food and service are usually fine, and the experience, sitting above street traffic in midtown Manhattan, is lovely. Just check the long-range forecast before booking, and enjoy.
Although we live out of state, The Red Eye Grill is a mandatory stop on our visits to NYC. From the incredibly friendly greeting at the front door, to stellar food and drinks (OMG the lobster cob salad is amazing!) and exceptional service, it truly is a gem that we treasure!
Great service and tasty meal. They even brought free, homemade chocolate chip cookies to each table (I assume to make guests feel comfortable during an epic rainstorm!) Will go back.
Had a great happy hour with many different small plates. Lived the fish taco. Great waitress Yellena from Serbia. Ask for her!
This was a fantastic spot for dinner before a show at Carnegie hall.
