Redeye hasn't lost a step even after 20 years. It's like having a reliable friend on W. 56th St.
Staff were all very friendly, which was a plus. Made our dining experience much more pleasurable. Food was great.
Had a wonderful birthday dinner with my grandson as we celebrated our mutual birthday. The food was delicious, the wait staff efficient and pleasant. We received a complimentary dessert for our birthday in addition to the 'mountain of cotton candy" before heading to Carnegie Hall for a concert.
Always love Redeye especially the ice cream!! My favorite. My partner and I eat there at least once per week and sometimes more. The maitre d, is so nice and always friendly he is Ira gem. Wait staff always goes above and beyond to please you.
I thought that 105.00 for brunch was outrageous. We have been there for dinner and were quite happy. Pastrami hash and poached eggs at that price was ridiculous.
RED EYE IS GREAT FOR CARNEGIE HALL PATRONS DUE TO ITS LOCATION. HOWEVER, IF YOU'RE A CLASSICAL MUSIC LOVER, AFTER 6:30 THE NOISE LEVEL BORDERS ON INTOLERABLE BETWEEN THE SOUND OF THE ENTERTAINMENT AND THE SIZE OF THE FOOD CROWD. SERVICE IS QUITE GOOD AND FOOD IS ALSO, BUT IF YOU'D LIKE TO HAVE A CONVERSATION, YOU MIGHT TRY A REALLY EARLY DINNER SINCE THEY OPEN FOR DINNER AT 4, WHICH IS VERY RARE AND A BIG BOON FOR EARLY DINERS.
We happily returned to the Redeye Grille for dinner. As always, from the moment we checked in (I gave my last name, and the host responded with my first name! He was totally prepared for us), we were seated promptly, and every moment of our visit was perfect. From the appetizers to the entrees, everything was absolutely delicious. I ordered the scallops, which were prepared beautifully. We look forward to returning again, and again!
If you're seeing a show at Carnegie Hall, the Redeye Grill could not be more conveniently located. We enjoyed a late night dinner of a burger (for me) and Salmon ( for my sister) and a shared order of their excellent and very crispy onion rings (the best I can recall ever eating). The room is beautiful and warm, the ambience is excellent and the service very attentive. We also enjoyed the live music in the bar area, which was not too obtrusive on our conversation.
While often variety means mediocrity, here every item was perfect. There is something on the menu for all to select, and weather permitting - you can sit outside.
