Even though the name of this place may evoke images of a greasy-spoon diner next to a truck stop, it is actually a very elegant and convenient restaurant. The menu is eclectic, definitely something for everyone, including comfort food as well as some exotic. Excellent food, very friendly staff, and congenial ambience. For a Carnegie Hall event it is absolutely the best place, before or after the concert. Delightful experience.
It is always a wonderful dining experience from the moment you walk in till the moment you leave. Food, service, ambience is superior. We'll come back again and again. A true gem.
The Redeye Grill is across the street from Carnegie Hall and is a perfect pre-concert dinner location! A bit expensive but the food is delicately prepared and you do have to pay for location !
my girlfriend and i went to the redeye grill b4 a broadway play on a sunday...since most restaurants in nyc only serve brunch on sundays we chose the redeye they serve off their main menu no brunch...the food was excellent as was the service
Quiet Midtown spot for business lunches. Impeccable food and service.
Eaten there a number of times. But this was the first time we ate at the bar. Both bartenders were knowledgabled!, helpful and extremely efficient, able to handle multiple tasks at once. We were very impressed
The food was delicious even though a bit pricey. The service was outstanding especially with the attention given toe ach and every customer. They offered you cheese balls baked directly from the kitchen as many times as you liked just to make you happy (!) and even a brownie at the end of the meal...They really spoil you! We thought that the wine prices were a little too much ($some $18.00/glass!) but overall it was a very nice experience :) Will be back.
Had a nice experience at the restaurant. Food was good, our waiter was excellent. Prices were high but typical for a higher end steakhouse in NYC
excellent food and friendly service
