My third visit. I really want to love this place, but they always give me a reason to reconsider. Last time it was the dearth of professionalism, this time it was a lack of attentiveness combined with average food. If they could pay more attention to their customers, I may be able to forgive the relatively common food. Have officilally recanted my endoresement to friends for a great place for lunch.
The Tuna appetizer was amazing, main courses were very good.
I chose Redeye Grill because of its proximity to the theater we were going to following lunch. I've been there before and have always enjoyed it. This time 2 things did strike me: having to ask our servers for ketchup, etc. when it should have been served with the burger. They were so attentive and yet we had to track them down for small things. Also, I forgot how expensive it is. At least the food was excellent.
We used the restaurant for the business dinner. The chic ambience as well as the courteous service led us to feel comfortable. The meal, especially steak, was so delicious that they could be satisfied. I can recommend this restaurant to my colleagues.
My filet mignon was tough and chewy-sent it back for a different piece of meat and it was supposed to be medium rare and it came out raw~by this time the rest of the table was finished eating and my mashed potatoes were cold~when they offered to take it and cook it more I declined. DId not like the dessert. The management was kind enough to remove the steak from the bill-that was the right thing to do.
We love everything about the RED EYE GRILL
We all loved our dinners. The service was excellent and the food delicious. Can't ask for more.
I thought the food was very good, but not cheap. Nice friendly service and the decor is nice. Unfortunately I was with an older person and when making the reservation asked for a quiet place in the restaurant but was seated right in the middle of the noisiest section, which spoiled things a bit. But it's a very convenient restaurant for Carnegie Hall and I will go again
