Get directionsWhen visiting New York, it's not unusual to feel you have over indulged in some(or many) of your meal choices. The Red Eye Grill serves excellent food which can be simply prepared. I had the Maine lobster cocktail appetizer as an entree and it was the perfect size potion. My partner had a ribeye steak that was done exactly the way he requested...pink in the middle( medium). We got spinach, Brussel sprouts, and fried onion rings as sides. They were delicious, especially the onion rings. Our server, Dan, was excellent and the ... read more
The food was beautifully presented and tasty. My only issue was with the service, the waitress seems to be a bit distracted and had to be reminded a few time regarding 1 or 2 special request. All in all a fabulous experience with great food. I would recommend this restaurant and return myself.
We visited here during our holiday to New York for New Year. The brunch was fabulous, good menu and reasonable wine list, good service and great jazz too. My only comment would be that there is little choice for children, aside from that a great venue for lunch or brunch
We booked a last minute reservation for group of six for Saturday night based on proximity to our hotel and reviews on OT. We were not disappointed. We were seated upon arrival. Our waiter Alton was pleasant and offered some great suggestions. Portion sizes were perfect and courses were well paced. We spent about 2.5 hours at the restaurant which is what I would expect for a quality establishment. Will definitely eat there again next time in NYC.
We loved it. Miso cod, soooo tasty. Lobster and scrambled eggs, yum.
Went there for brunch before a broadway show and ordered scrambled eggs w/ salmon and the lemon ricotta pancakes. The pancakes were the best pancakes Ive ever had! Glass of champagne is included. Make sure to tell them you have a show bc the pancakes take long to make.
Pricey but very delicious. Loved the chocolate bark on the way out.
We ate at the REG on 12/26, extending our Christmas festivities. All 5 meals (all different) came out hot, perfect & delicious. We experienced a relaxed atmosphere, listened to live music and never felt rushed. Although it was quite pricey, the food quality & service made up for it. We will put it on our list to return again for a special occassions.
We had a reservation, but we weren't able to determine who our waiter was. We asked one of the hostesses to find out, she did and went up to him. In a low voice, he told her that our table wasn't his and she disagreed. She sent a helper over to take our order. The gentleman who was our waiter never came over. We waited for 15 minutes before getting assistance. Our food arrived at 6:50 pm and we had to leave at 7:00 pm for a 7:30 pm show because my mother uses a walker. We were only able to taste the food as we had to leave. ... read more
