Get directionsI read that this was a good place for brunch, so decided to try it out. The restaurant itself is beautiful on the inside. It's got a great atmosphere. I was disappointed with the experience though. We arrived very hungry, and the waiter skipped over our table for bread. We had to ask someone to bring some out while we waited for our food. For the price, the food was okay. I don't think I'll go back.
As always, delicious food and wonderful service.
All the seafood is absolutely the finest. Steaks are excellent too. Great location for Carnegie Hall, City Center etc. Lobster dishes are very generous. I especially like the seafood risotto and the lobster pot pie.
What makes this restaurant that much more special is Carlo Mariani. His customer service, his warmth - is superb!!! I highly recommend to all!! Bonnie
I live and work in DC -- and my lady and I get to NYC several times a year for the arts and the vibe. The first or second night we're in New York we enjoy a dinner at the Red Eye Grill. The wait staff are friendly and professional and know the wines and the food. The seafood is delicate and cooked perfectly. Last weekend I had the Filet Mignon with Bernaise sauce with sides mashed potatoes and green beans. The waitress recommended a glass of Hess Cabernet. Perfection on the table!
My husband and I were in NYC to celebrate his birthday and Valentine's Day. The food was fantastic and only surpassed by the service! When they learned it was my husband's birthday they went out of their way to make our dinner special. We ended up eating there 3 times during our stay and were never disappointed. We have added The Rede... read more
Food, service, ambience very fine, enhanced by jazz duo. Prices sky high, typical of Carnegie Hall vicinity. Oysters sparkling fresh, perfectly opened, varieties distinctive. Tuna and salmon entrees generous, cooked precisely as ordered. Don't miss roasted Brussels sprouts with peanut sauce. Chocolate almond dessert unctuous. Tasty extras: warm cheddar biscuits, coconut macaroons, brownies. Then there's wine. Overpriced mostly American modest list. Out of the lowest priced white, a fairly new addition. First sommelier knew l... read more
Red eye was good. The food was decent, the service was friendly but not necessarily efficient. The price was not worth the experience. I would suggest it to people who are visiting NYC and are visiting Times Square but that's about the only reason.
Had a great lunch on Sunday with sea food, crab cake eggs benedict and she had gorganzola flatbread and veggie risotto. all wonderful.
