Get directionsWE HAD A GOOD EVENING OVERALL,. FOOD WAS NICE BUT BIT PRICEY
I love this Place and it's proximity to carnegie hall. But $18 for guacamole and chips is egregious. And $48 for sesame crusted tuna is aggressive. The food is delicious , I am not Gonna lie. It is. But the bill a bit of a shocker. Our waiter was excellent and the service couldn't be better. My one complaint is that they wouldn't let us transfer our bar bill To the table. Hate that.
Food quality and presentation was great. Our server was very good also and made great recommendations such as the Brussel sprouts. My wife and I both had steak, fillet mignon and ny strip respectively. Both were prepared superbly and the cuts of beef were nice quality. Wine list offers a nice selection. Will be back!
My friend had been to Redeye and loved it. I am a tougher critic so had an open mind. It was fantastic. One of the best meals I have had in a while. Also the the high ceilings make the noise level fine. For a single, the bar would be a wonderful venue. Now the food! Beyond compare! One had the 2 lb lobster which was divine. My friend claims the cheesecake w/ cho... read more
Overall very good experience. Went back for drinks the second night.
Dined there at Sunday brunch. All four of us enjoyed ourselves. Jerry is a fantastic waiter who cared for us and made our visit wonderful. Food, presentation, service - all excellent !!
When we moved into the neighborhood 4 years ago we went to the Redeye Grill frequently and loved everything about the restaurant. A couple of years ago a new chef came on the scene and "improved" the menu. We were very disappointed and stopped dining there. The other evening we looked for a restaurant near an event we were attending and decided to give Redeye Grill another try. We were very pleasantly surprised. They underwent a million dollar renovation and hired a new team in the kitchen. The choices on the menu were great... read more
We went for Sunday brunch while in NYC. The menu was varied and the meal we chose just perfect. They had live music playing and the atmosphere was just lovely. We so loved going there and will go back again.
This restaurant try's to be too clever. Too many ingredients without enough thought and care. A Prime example is the Halibut...a very delicate fish simply destroyed with strong mushrooms, beure blanc and Brussels sprouts! The Halibut had no chance. Decor is really good, except the very odd mural paintings on the pillars... When you paying premium prices, the chef must get it right...he didn't
