We had an amazing brunch here. Looking forward to dinner here one night.
my sisters and i spend one week per year in nyc and have done so for 25 years our last night in town is always spent at the Redeye enjoying a great martini, succulent steak, delicious fresh oysters, and a great bottle of wine. it is a tradition we will never forego!
despite being seated 30 minutes late and having to ask to receive menus after we were at the table a while- an admitted oversight on the part of the hostess and manager- we enjoyed our dining experience at Redeye. We had theater tickets and even with an appetizer, entrees and a dessert- we just made our show. The food is quite good and inventive. They gave us complementary champagne and dessert on the house. We felt they genuinely cared about the oversight, unlike other NYC establishments that abuse you and expect you to ask... read more
i have been there many many years ago and i returned there last Tue and it was stil great.
I am glad my husband suggested we give this place a try after almost 2 years since our last visit, as he heard it had been redone after going down hill over the years. My husaband was right! It is now back as a great restaurant near a great venue. The service was excellent and the jazz during dinner just loud enough but not intrusive. The service was attentive but not rushed. I had the crab cake with shrimp over spinach with a side order of fries. My husband had the lobster and shrimp lasagna. We both would recommend these e... read more
A varied menu with the least expensive item on the menu being a $25 hot dog, and the next fish and chips for $28. I had the Alaskan King Salmon, tasty but a very small portion considering the price was $38. Additional ala carte vegetables are $12 each. I am used the prices in midtown but this restaurant takes it a big step farther than other restaurants in the area. As you might guess I won't be beating a path back here.
This was my third visit to the Redeye Grill. I have eaten lunch outside with my teenage sons, enjoyed a lovely dinner with a special friend, and returned the next morning for a fabulous brunch. The food is consistently good, the atmosphere is classy yet very welcoming and the service is definitely above average.
It was my daughters 15th birthday and she wanted a place that was fun and had good ambience. It worked out very well although the kitchen was a little slow getting out the food. The waitress was very good, but the busboys need to be more attentive with water and bread service. Overall a good experience and I would not hesitate to return.
Great place before or after Carnegie Hall. Food is very good, and the service is generally very attentive as well.
