We've eaten at the Redeye Grill 4 times over the last several years - twice each for lunch and dinner - and each time we've not been disappointed. When we're undecided where to eat while visiting NYC, we can always count on the Redeye for a great dining experience. Every single thing about our dinner at Red Eye Grill was perfect. I've been there many times before, but I was with 4 newbies, and they could not stop raving about everything. Food was great. unfortunately, a server knocked over a glass of champagne and spilled on my wife's lap. The management was slow to respond and was disappointing in terms of how they handled. We very much enjoyed the food.
Try the scallops bearnaise. It was to die for. Excellent service. The waitstaff was very helpful.
Reliable and interesting menu. A bit expensive for what they give you.
Great time with some good friends for lunch. Went with a toddler who did not like the lemon ricotta pancakes (yum). The team was kind enough to bring us some grilled cheese (which went over very well). They did a great job overall.

The food was delicious, and it was not too loud. My parents were visiting from out of town, and they were very happy with the menu and food as well.
Sunday night dinner at Redeye turned out to be a terrific experience. The braised beef and the lemon sole were beautifully prepared; the beef-eaters and the fish-eaters were totally satisfied. We all shared the chocolate sundae (called something else) which was too good. Be warned: Sunday night is not typical of weekday noise. Lots of pre theatre, pre concert folks make a difference during the week. Nonetheless, the restaurant was full and the music was pleasant.
