My wife has been to Redeye several times when traveling in NYC for business. She suggested it for a pre-theatre dinner. The room is beautiful & the food was very good to excellent. As good as it was, however, the service was brilliant. The hostess was gracious (casual attire is not unwelcome) and our waiter, Jerry T., was probably the best waiter I've ever had, anywhere. This restaurant is the perfect companion to a great New York experience. Fabulous food, service and ambiance. This is our 4th visit and a must on our list when visiting Manhattan. NYC just wouldn't be the same without a visit to the Redeye Grill. We'll be back!
This restaurant has the most outstanding wait staff because they are all so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The steak, when ordered plain, had too much salt on it. The crab and lobster lasagna was exceptional & delicious. The live music added to the ambiance by the bar.
We make an annual trip to NYC and stay nearby (Sheraton or Hilton). Couldn't decide what to have or where to go last Saturday so as we were walking back to the hotel we stumbled upon RedEye Grill. Had a quick look online and then booked a table on OpenTable. When we arrived there was a table available on the railing overlooking 7th Ave. Great seats, fantastic service, delicious meal and we didn't feel rushed to free the table at the end of the evening. Great steaks and seafood and we will return.

I loved everything ...the old movie, the piano playing, the food, the drinks even the sparkling water oh I forgot the the chocolate on leaving the staff every single one of them ... the maitre'D , our wait staff all were the best...it was my first time there but they I acted like I was a long time patron...I truly enjoyed myself in everyway
A friend recommended The Redeye to us and boy, was he right! My husband and i were in NYC celebrating our anniversary. We both ordered the Bone-In Filet Mignon and shared the Brussel Sprouts. The pretzel bread was a surprising twist on the usual bread supplied with dinner. Our dinner was the perfect ending to a perfect day. And we loved the cotton candy our waiter brought to the table at the end of our meal. What fun!
We live in Houston and frequently come to NY. We dine at Redeye Grille on every trip. The food is consistently good, we are so happy they added back the lobster pot pie! A favorite with our family. The service is excellent. We adore Brian Marino and request him when making reservations. Their wine selection is quite good and their raw bar is not to be missed. We look forward to our next visit to Redeye Grille in September. They should be on everyone's list visiting New York.
Great menu, great food. Pricey but worth it.
