Nice open floorplan, comfortable seats, great fresh seafood selections, friendly & efficient service, but bring your bank book.
Terrific for pre-matinee performances at City Center. We have made it a ritual brunch location. Light and bright, and always fresh seafood.
Perfect for pre-carnegie Hall dinner, Very efficient service and the food was all very good. I had grilled arctic char and my wife had grilled trout and both were fresh and well cooked. A spicy crab roll was deliicoius but the roasted brussel sprouts were too sweet and too oily. Drinks were pricey, but hey, this is NYC.
The seafood was superb. I liked the fact that you could have the entrees served several ways. The bar was a great after dinner night cap w/ small goup seting & soft piano music. Great ambience
Wonderful ambience with jazz trio providing a wonderful musical accompaniment and giving the Redeye Grill a great vibe. Pleasant and attentive wait staff. Excellent steaks and seafood. Brussell sprouts outstanding. Onion rings were weak - over breaded and a bit flavorless. Steaks were outstanding and prepared as ordered for all diners.
We were there for lunch on 3/17. We often dine at the Redeye as we stay at the Manhattan Club when we are in NYC. The service was outstabding as was the food. We were a party of 7 and everything was just perfect.
Loved it for Lunch. Will definitely go back for dinner.
I hadn't been to Redeye in years & was a bit nervous that maybe the quality had gone downhill, but nope! We had a reservation for 4 on a Friday evening - needed to change it to 8 without much notice but they accommodated us, which was very helpful. Everyone loved their food - mostly my 23-30 yr old nieces & nephews & their friends who are a bit adventurous. I loved the Crab Cobb Salad (so fresh tasting!) but sure, it's crazy expensive. With the live music playing and the candles lit, the Redeye Grill was a wonderful night out for my husband and me. We had a reservation for 6pm, when we were promptly seated. Our server was extremely friendly and knowledgable about the menu, and after he took our order, he asked if we had anywhere else to be.
