OUR GROUP OF 4 HAD A THOROUGHLY DELIGHTFUL LUNCHEON DINING EXPERIENCE AT REDEYE & WE ALL LOOK FORWARD TO OUR NEXT VISIT. THIS WAS TRULY AS GOOD AS IT GETS!!
Special occasion was our friend singing at Carnegie Hall: can't beat the location across the street from Carnegie Hall. Looked like a very robust bar scene; beautiful murals & wonderful wood decor made for a very enticing dining experience. The food certainly does not match the decor! Just off the south end of Central Park. The food was delicious and our server was very attentive.
After taking the best crispy chicken with soy sauce and bok choy in the universe off the menu, which amounts to a crime, Redeye first downsized and then eliminated the terrific Paella, and finally got rid of the gigantic and delicious Nonna's ice cream sundae with chocolate chunks the size of small rocks. Did not at all live up to expectations. We were told that several items on the meny were sold out. The seared salmon tartar was not good and the overall quality of the food was OK, but price/pleasure relation was low
Very accomodating in getting us out in time for our theater perfomance having had an excellent meal.
