def a cool with place and I had a movie star sighting when I was there.Doris Roberts(everyone love raymond) was there.Bur food and service were great!!!
Food was great, loved the cottom candy with dessert. Service was slow, took forever between courses. Odd for a restaurant need theaters.
Seated us at exact time of reservation - restaurant was packed - good atmosphere - comfortable dining and food was wonderful. Kind of worried that with such a varied menu, that not all the food would be good - proved wrong - each member of our party ordered from different parts of the menu and all were excellent. Actually recommended to my sister who is flying to NY to celebrate her birthday next weekend.
The service was great, good place for a group and the food was good. The menu could have had more choices.

The wait staff was attentive and the food was good although quite over priced - $34 for a scallop entree that looked more like an appetizer.
Excellent food, from the Alaskan King Crab Legs to the Filet Mignon, and despite its size and the crowd (always full), it is relatively quiet—actually, for New York, it is very quiet!
We went here for a special holiday family dinner. The service was outstanding, and the chef accommodated a special request to serve our son's lobster out of the shell. Our kids (6 and 12) were treated well and enjoyed themselves, and we had a very good meal-- and due to the lively ambiance and the other diners (who were mostly adults), my husband and I felt more like we were on a date than at a "family" restaurant.
Fresh oysters and crabcakes - delicious. Redeye also has a nice selection of meats - one of the few places to get traditional wiener schnitzel. Food is excellently prepared and despite having every table full before a Carnegie Hall concert, our waiter was attentive and service was excellent. We were not at all rushed and made it to the concert in plenty of time.
