Energetic lunch crowd. Decent selection of fish and non-fish. But they were out of the special tuna burger on the menu.... The dancing shrimp may have been cool in their day, but that day has past. But the restaurant is a good one.
Girls' day out...a broadway matinee and dinner at Redeye Grill. We were seated promptly upon arriving at our reserved time. Our waitress was very attentive. The dancing shrimp are a little overpriced for what you get. Our entrees were all done perfectly. The shrimp and crabcake were delicious. We enjoyed trying to identify the celebrities in the mural on the wall. We shared two desserts for four people...more then enough...the desserts are huge. This is one of my favorite NY restaurants, but it is a bit pricey and therefore,... read more
Dinner on an early Sunday evening was excellent from the welcome to the departure. Service was attentive without being unctious. When one dish out of our 5 came underdone, it was returned to the kitchen without fanfare and brought back perfect. All dishes were more than tasty with lovely presentations. A shared dessert was great. A tray of circulating cookies for all was a nice touch. Decor was warm and inviting, and the noise level at that particular time was very tolerable. Definitely a restaurant deserving return visits!
We were pleasantly surprised at our first visit to Red Eye. I had seen this restaurant for years and thought it was a burger joint or 1950s diner -- based solely on the exterior! Based on a recommendation from a friend, we enjoyed our sushi and especially the duck quesadilla. Service was congenial and efficient too!
A notable restaurant. The Redeye Grill has an extremely flavorful vinaigrette on the salads and the steaks are especially well prepared.
Outstanding dining experience; the restaurant comes highly recommended especially for special celebrations.
I love REDEYE GRILL. The seafood is always fresh, the waiters and staff are always personable and attentive. I'm never diasppointed! Highly recommended.
Our party of seven on a Friday night was a birthday celebration and first trip to NYC for our 16-year-old granddaughter/niece, and the first dinner was at the Red Eye Grill. The staff was wonderful, from beginning to end, really making a fuss over the birthday girl; our dinner was delicious; the wine list is very good. It was a memorable evening for everyone, and we all said it was one of the highlights of this special weekend.
Great service - told them it was my girlfriends birthday and they gave us comp champagne and sang happy birthday to her without me even asking. Great service, great atmosphere and the dancing shrimp were cool
