Definitely three star. Had the Moscow mule, it was overflowing with ice, not sure how they get away calling it a Moscow mule. Dinner salad was ok. No normal dressing, their dressing was ok, a bit tart. The sea bass was the best part of the meal. The Brussel sprouts were drenched and only the middle was edible. Overall not pleased with my last dinner in NYC.
Service was very good however the food quality was disappointing. I had the Dancing Shrimp which was overcooked. The ribeye was overcooked as well and very fatty.
The service was abysmal and slow. My family and I were there pre-theatre, and we made the waiter aware. It took forever to order, we were barely checked on for drinks or anything else. We ordered bottles of wine, which they insisted on pouring, and kept away from the table, but no one ever returned to refill glasses. We politely brought the issues to a manager’s attention, but nothing got better even after they promised it would. Items on our order never came out after repeated requests. No one who worked there seemed to be ... read more
The food was OK, not outstanding, but the service was not. It was not very crowded yet we had to wait for everything. We were told by the waitress she would get to it when she finished with the other table yet that did not happen. Coffee cold and hot coffee did not reappear until it was time for us to run to the theater for a show. Honestly, I rarely write reviews, especially poor ones but with this restaurant which I had eaten at and enjoyed many times prior to it’s closing and recent reopening, I was expecting far better. ... read more
Used to like this place a lot. They closed and can’t figure out what changes were made except for the menu. My husband and I thought the food was awful. We will not return. So disappointing! Convenient for Carnegie Hall but rather miss a meal than eat there. I almost never write reviews but I really felt so strongly about the negative change in menu and food itself.
The experience was a disaster but the manager did try and make it right which will explain my ratings. We were really looking forward to eating there from multiple friends telling me about it. We got there about 10 minutes before our reservation and about 20 minutes later we were being seated. In the middle of starting to get settled, we were told there was a mistake and our table wasn't ready yet. We then waited another 15 minutes until our table was ready. After 10 minutes a waiter came over and LITERALLY didn't say a word... read more
The food is not good - more so for the price. One large pancake was $20. The breakfast buffet was $24 so a few of us did that for the price difference...but the quality of the food was awful. Eggs Benedict were hard boiled, scrambled eggs runny, sausage hard and overly seasoned, no yogurt, very limited variety of fruit and did not taste fresh, cheap cereal and toast. Really disappointed bc the atmosphere is fun for breakfast/brunch.
Floor was very slippery!!! Food was okay, not commensurate with the prices.
Terrible service.
