RecommendedSuperb service, wonderful people. They've always taken care of me, and recently went above and beyond to change a stubborn headlight (having to remove the entire assembly and air box) in their PARKING LOT in 30 degree weather to get me back on the road and out of ticket danger before the holiday! On top of that, they charged me under the original estimate. I'm impressed.

I had an appointment scheduled to get my van worked on for the 25th, it had been planned quite a bit in advance yet when i called to confirm it they had it marked as August 25th not July and every time i talked to someone there they were downright rude and disrespectful towards me. anyways i was able to get a family member that was willing to repair what needed done for me and had a LOT of personal things going on. well i woke up this morning (7/25) and my van was not in front of my house, my roommate then called the shop to... read more
they could not overcharge by $780 and 3 weeks later still not refund our money
So my son took his truck to Rick's Automotive on South Campbell here in Springfield, just for a state inspection. They told him it would take $3000 plus dollars worth of repairs for it to pass. We took to two other shops for 2nd opinions(just to be sure the first one didn't overlook something). A $10.00 brake light later and he passed inspection. Neither shop could find any of the things wrong that Rick's Automotive claimed.
I went to another shop in town Saturday to get my oil changed & asked them to check out a "noise" in the front end of my car. I was given an estimate of $1200 to fix said noise & "other issues". Today, I took my car to Rick's Automotive to get their opinion. I left spending a total of $145 & this issue completely fixed. Moral of the story...ALWAYS get a second opinion! Also a BIG shoutout to Eric for all of his help today!
