Service was polite and knowledgeable but slow overall. Dinner shouldn't take 2 1/2 hours.
The food and service were amazing. Wine list was pretty good, just be aware that they offer full bottles only for standard wines. (Some dessert wines are by the glass and sparkling has some half bottle offerings) The menu is a bit small but I think that just ensures the quality and speed of service. This is the kind of experience you want every time you go out. Couldn't have been better. Italian old fashioneds to start, two perfect entrees (spicy lobster spaghetti and guinea hen ragu over rustic spaghetti) and two perfect desserts (tiramisu, as always, and sea salt caramel pudding). That's all you need! Excellent wait team as well.
The wandering wine maker introduced us to Brunello di Montalcino wines. By law these must be 100% sangiovese, which we thought could be very tannic and barn yardy. Wrong. The three wines tasted were smooth, reasonably acidic, had balanced fruit and overall were delicious. The three course set meal (soup, hand made pasta, and porterhouse steak)and wine pairings were outstanding.
My wife and I celebrated our 28th anniversary during our most recent visit. We were treated to a great meal and friendly service. The Pappardelle pasta with Duck Ragu was amazing as a secondi. She had salmon and I had pork. Both were excellent.
We had excellent Italian pasta with pairing wine. Service was perfect and friendly. We had an excellent dinner time.
Loved everything except the octopus in the seafood. Rubbery! Instead of having this in the mix more of the delicious scallops would have been perfect.

Food wasn't as good as expected from a Bartolotta restaurant. I foolishly listened to the waiter's recommendation for the caprese salad, as it is near the end of the tomato season, but it was bland and uninspired, and grossly overpriced. The entrees were not particularly flavorful- again, I expected better. We split a dessert that was very, very good, however.
