Outstanding from start to finish, the White Truffle special is just that, SPECIAL and not to be missed. We had a business dinner that involved no business talk, just excellant food and service.
This is a lovely restaurant in the heart of the village of Wauwatosa. While we appreciated the ambiance and attentive service, the food itself is rather mediocre for the price. The buffalo mozzarella appetizer was bland and watery and both the house and caesar salads were very ordinary at best. I guess I would say that while nothing was bad, neither was anything spectacular. The caramel pudding desert was about the most noteworthy thing we ate that evening.
What a great way to spend a special occasion. Each visit has been outstanding.
Had a terrible table squished in between 6 or 7 other tables. There was a HUGE stain on the fabric of my chair. Impossible to have a private conversation with people so close on either side. Thought I would get a better table since I am an Open Table VIP. Would only come back here in summer when I can eat outside due to the poor arrangement of tables here. Food was excellent, my husband ordered large ravioli but we are guessing he got the small by mistake since it was not large by any means. Highly overpriced menu

Celebrated our anniversary with a fabulous dinner. The duck ragu was outstanding. Finishing the meal off with tiramisu was a delight.
For several years we have enjoyed a truffle dinner at Ristorante Bartolotta and this year was no exception. The meat tortelini with truffle, chicken broth was especially outstanding; one of the best dishes in my lifetime. My only regret was not ordering the larger portion.
Curiously, Ristorante Bartolatta never hit my gastro-radar before. Maybe I made assumptions about the italian menu: 'Oh I can make spaghetti at home' or 'I don't like all those nightshade vegetables.' It was my good fortune to have finally checked it out. Everything was superb: sparkly ambiance, attentive (and almost intuitive) but not fussy waitstaff, well situated tables, and food so incredible we returned the very next week to repeat our meal and signed up for their frequent diner club.
