Bartolotta's was outstanding. The service was excellent. The food was out of this world. I would highly recommend Ristorante Bartolotta.
We were a little disappointed with the service on this visit. We have come to expect a certain level of service at the Bartolotta restaurants, and this just didn't measure up. Some of our issues include never being offered more bread, water glasses going unfilled for long periods of time, a delay in receiving our bottle of wine, and not receiving a new plate/utensils between courses. It was very odd and off-putting.
The food was flawlessly prepared. If you are looking for an authentic Italian food experience, this is one of the few in the area that deliver the real thing. This was our second time eating here, and we will definitely go back when we want a wonderful meal.
My husband took me to this restaurant to celebrate my 30th birthday. This is one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. The food and service was outstanding! Our waiter, Todd was extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine and its origins every time we had a question. We would definitely come back again!
Ristorante Bartolotta has the best Italian food I've found in the midwest. I've eaten there many times. It is worth the 80 mile drive from Madison to the Milwaukee area. Having lived in Providence, RI, which is Italian food central,my standards are very high. The ambiance is casual but sophisticated. I highly recommend this place.
We've been going bact to RB at least once a year since it opened about 15 years ago. The restaurant serves very good northern Italian food. I believe it can hold its own against such powers as Spiaggia in Chicago and Babbo in NYC. I wish they had more veal dishes.
Food is very special - very fresh and the homemade pasta is wonderful. Service was flawless. Never like tables crammed together, but requested a private table and that worked out. Noisy, but that's life.
Very nice dining experience for our 26th wedding anniversary. The food and service by our waiter was great. Unfortunately the air conditioning was broken on the evening we were there and it was a humid Wisconsin evening. But, whether it was our anniversary, the lack of air conditioning or both, our waiter provided us with two compimentary desserts!! It was a great gesture and another reason we will dine again at Ristorante Bartolotta.
After living in Italy for several years, I can be very critical of Resturants that claim to be Italian. Ristorante Bartolotta was excellent. The service was impeccable without being overwhleming. The flavors of the food was terrific and this was just about the best Calimari that I have had since leaving Italy. Job Well Done!!!!!
