Our experience included some extreme highs and one extreme low. The bread served before the meal was fresh and delicious. My entree, a seafood penne, was delicious, but my dates spinanch raviolli were almost inedible (the flavor combination was a complete miss). Visited Ristorante for the first time with a group (4). I was slightly concerned with ordering portions at a nicer restaurant, until I realized that the idea is really the essence of authentic italian cooking. Between the four of us, we ordered two appetizers (calamari and pomodoro), two large pastas (rigatoni and duck paparadelle), and the mixed seafood and salmon main dishes. Fantastic restaurant. Received personal attention from the manager throughout our visit. Sat at the bar and got great service. Plan on coming back as often as possible.
I wasn't a huge fan of the texture of the pasta I was served. It was a little too "firm" for me. Also, my mother and brother felt the sauce was a little too salty
Always highly recommended I finally was able to eat at Bartolotta's in Wauwatosa. It is a very small cozy atmosphere with professional staff, full menu options and nice wine list. Meal was very good and overall experience was a very enjoyable. We will return again. They also have a diners reward card that is very nice.
I love Ristorante Bartolotta's. The food is superb (as always) & this time we ate outside on the sidewalk. What a great way to enjoy the heart of Tosa Village. I also indicated in our reservation that we were celebrating our daughter's high school graduation & the wait staff made sure to mention congratulations to her a number of times, which was so kind - she was radiant! Thank you for making our evening special.
Had the price fix menu, was one of the best meals I have ever had in my life. Great chef, great ambience.
An outstanding dining experience! Every dish was superb -- a few (the carapaccio, the pappardelle al ragu di anatra, the tiramisu) were transcendent. Our server was extremely knowledgeable on Italian wines. Service overall was impeccable.
This place was amazing! Everything was what you would want in a dining experience. To start off, the wait staff was outstanding! We especially liked that they worked as a team so we alway had what we needed, but did not feel ganged up on. We were a little indecisive about wine, and Aaron was kind enough to bring us a few samples to help us make our decision. He was also very knowledgeable about the menu and had great suggestions.
