Carehome itself appears well maintained and comfortable and appropriate for its residents and staff. All staff are warm, friendly and professional, particularly the activities team, chefs, reception team and immediate clinical care teams. Clinical care is very attentive, considerate and adaptable and medically they are extremely knowledgable and intuitive and have a good relationship with the local doctors. Activities team are thoughtful and caring at all times - they are brilliant! Interactions with myself have always been ... read more

We're very happy to have had Mum at Rush Court over the last few years. The staff are always very positive and friendly and have a great rapport with her. There is a good deal of refurbishment going on the moment which will provide a freshened dining area in the nursing section together with a cafe. We're looking forward to sitting in the courtyard in the sun drinking tea with her. I must make a special mention of the 'entertainment' team who are bursting with enthusiasm and novel ideas to enrich the lives of the residents.

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a positive review. we are incredibly grateful for your kind word about refurbishment of Nursing dinning room and caf. we hope to earn a 5star rating in the future and please let me know if there is anything we can do to make us earn 5 star rating. on behalf of all team member and management we look forward to continuing to prove exceptional care for your mum and making your visit a positive experience at all times.

My experience directly collates with the personal relationships exercised by staff member and degree to which this is established with me. There are bound to be times when staff shortages affect the ideal and I accept the ups and downs of life in a care home overall.

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Rush court. I have reflected on your comments, I hope we can work together to ensure the rest of your stay is of the five-star standard we always strive for. As discussed during my meeting with you on Friday [13/02/26], we have new chef in post and i can reassure you that food quality is our priority.

My mother of 97 was admitted to Rush Court as a residential respite patient following a week of medical care in the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. On admission she was still very frail and poorly mobile with little motivation. Prior to all this she had been slightly struggling to care for herself in her own small bungalow. The transfer from Hospital was seamless and she was greeted warmly by lovely staff at Rush Court. Everyone from the reception staff to senior management and the brilliant Physios were remarkable. Caring,... read more

My father had been unwell for a couple of months so he thought that some respite care would be good for him and also for his wife. They were in for 2.5 weeks, sharing a room as they do at home, and the rest did them both the world of good. The food was excellent (I went for lunch one day out of curiosity and agree with them), the room was comfy, with a lovely view out over the countryside, and the staff were kindness itself. In addition, my stepmum took advantage of the flat and well maintained garden path, and walked all ro... read more

My husband went in for respite during a crisis in our lives. Rush Court is a lovely building in beautiful countryside. The staff are lovely and caring. He had a nice room on the ground floor and elected to have his meals in his room which on reflection was a mistake. The food was of good quality but often cold when it reached him, particularly the breakfasts. Probably because he was one of very few men there he had no-one to talk to other than the staff and didn't find the activities interesting. He did enjoy the physio sess... read more

Business response:

Thankyou so much for taking the time to review Rush Court and for your feedback. As a team we take these reviews very seriously and are very disappointed to read that your husband's stay was not without issues. Your comments will be immediately shared with the care, catering and social engagement teams as we always strive to make resident's stays as positive as possible and it appears this was not the case with your husband. Thank you again for bringing these issues to our attention.

My mother transferred to Rush Court from short term respite care elsewhere but was previously living independently at home so this was a big change for her. She is now living at Rush Court. The welcome and first few weeks have been very warm and positive during this transition. Rush Court itself is an amazing residence - the landscape and gardens quite stunning and the home has a very calm feeling. All the staff have been very kind supportive and if needed pro active in offering mum support. The food is of a high quality as ... read more

Having been at Rush Court for respite, my daughter (40 years) is now resident in the Nursing Wing. She has recently returned from a long stay in hospital, where she received messages, birthday cards, videos and presents from the very caring community at this lovely home. It all kept her morale up while in hospital. She is now delighted to be a Rush Court resident once more. A recent highlight at Rush Court has been the wonderful VE Day 80 afternoon celebration, made special by the thought, hardwork, dedication and enthusiasm... read more
