Couldn't serve me with a medium steak twice left without eating.
The company in my group was stellar. The conversation was wonderful. I did not wish to break that atmosphere by returning a steak that was well done (when i ordered medium-rare). My shoe would had better taste. The server that day was a complete snoot, as if she had somewhere better to be that day. I will not be back.
We were very disappointed on many aspects: the appetizer amount was small, nothing special in presentation. The spaghetti was so spicy you couldn't eat it. The filet mignon was absolutely smothered in steak seasoning and bernaise sauce, you couldn't even taste the meat. The petite cut was so thin. The baked potatoe was cold and the toppings were tasteless. Everything was tasteless. There were no vegetables with the meal. We were very, very disappointed and will not be returning. Way overpriced for what you get.
I ordered the Chicken and Arugula salad which contained only 5 leaves of arugula (the rest was mixed green with heaps of browning radicchio); no buffalo mozza at all and my plate came out with avocado pip on the side. My guest had the Nicoise Salad which was grossly over-dressed and contained 2 little potatoes and about 3 kalamata olives. While the server was friendly she was terribly slow...
Food was mediocre at best. Had to send soup back twice to get a hot one. There are better steakhouses in Calgary.
WE ATE AT THE DOWNTOWN SALTLIK LAST WEEKEND FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A COUPLE OF YEARS - WE USED TO GO THERE QUITE OFTEN AT THAT TIME. QUITE FRANKLY, WE WERE DISAPPOINTED THIS TIME AS WE DID NOT FIND IT UP TO THE STANDARD OF PREVIOUS VISITS, FOR SEVERAL REASONS: 1. THE MENU WAS NOT AS EXTENSIVE AS WE HAD REMEMBERED 2. ONE ITEM ON THE MENU WAS NOT AVAILABLE - AND WE WERE ADVISED OF THIS ONLY AFTER ORDERING 3. THEY HAD NO DECAFFEINATED COFFEE AVAILABLE AFTER EATING - THE MACHINE WAS BROKEN! (?) 4. Not up to previous standard. Food over salted and less care in prep and presentation
Extremely slow. Got there at noon, ordered almost right away, but food didn't get on our table til 12:40pm.
They were understaffed& had trouble in kitchen getting food out on time for our party of 8
