They let me experiment and play around with the half dozen (!) Rickenbacker basses they had, in order for me to figure out which one was perfect for me. In the end, it came down to the beautiful Fireglow one, with its combination of tone, sustain, and action. Turns out every Ric is a bit differtent, eh. They told me there's no negotiating on price with Rickenbackers; fair enough. They need to make money, and I'm happy to help Sam Ash stay profitable. While Christmas shopping I visited two large music stores looking for a couple of smaller items. One store could not be bothered to look, while The Ssm Ash employee immediately located both items and had me on my way with just a short time. Excellent customer service.
