I live in Las Vegas and try, as much as possible, support brick and mortar music retailers. I find, aside from the location of the Vegas store, the employees and environment much more suitable for purchasing and checking out new gear. Every time, without exception, I've shopped there, I am approached multiple times by employees and the manager offering assistance.
Definitely a more personable and pleasant experience, as opposed to shopping at the McDonald's of music stores(guitar center). Sam Ash seems more focused on your needs, and what gear is more appropriate for you and your budget, rather than trying to drag you straight to the most expensive item, which has the highest commission payout for the salesperson, like they do at that McDonald's(guitar center) of music stores.
I like the advice they offer. Patient and polite.

Yesterday I went into Sam Ash on my lunch break to browse their acoustic guitar selection. I was helped by an employee named Dayne. I found an Ibanez acoustic guitar that I wanted to purchase, but took a lot of time debating with myself on wether I should spend the money or save it.
