I visited a close friend there about a month ago. They allowed me a 1-hour visit, where I had to empty my pockets and hand over my phone to reception before going in. Visitors are allowed in a lobby that looked like a cafeteria with a lot of tables and chairs. When talking to my friend in the lobby, she said that her roommate was on her 4th week of ECT (Shock Treatment) that was administered 3-times a week. She stated that her roommate was screaming mad that she could not remember anything, and the only emotion she could ... read more
This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. A family member was sent here on a 5150 for the third time because no kaiser facility had an available bed. The first time, my family member was brand new to experiencing mental health issues and my family and I thought the dirtiness of the facility, the carelessness and unresponsiveness of the facility was a norm in mental health. After being in a few different hospitals in a couple of years, this place is just absolutely unacceptable and should be shut down or at least fully reformed... read more
Not happy with this place at all. The intake counselor was very nice, thorough, and professional, but since then, this place has sucked. First of all, there is literature in the lobby that says food can be brought to visitors, only to be consumed during visiting hours. So I brought dinner for my daughter and was told when I got there, she could not have it. Then I learned that they did not give her her prescription medication because they did not have parental consent, but they gave her a different medication without our co... read more
If I could give this facility -1 star vs a single star, I would. My son was involuntarily brought there due to my intervention. He was transferred from Contra Costa Regional Hospital because they did not have enough beds for 72 hour hold. When I found out they were sending him to a private facility, I was actually somewhat pleased, believing he would get some appropriate attention and care. They were nice to me when I called the next morning and informed me that my son had signed papers so that I could communicate with t... read more
I would not recommend this hospital, the communication with family is horrible, there is hardly any. Social worker, what social worker, she contacted the family two times, one, just finding out about the patient and the second time to tell his wife his insurance ran out and they were putting him on a bus. He lives about 3 1/2 hours away, they give you no notice of when the patient will be released, oh, the gave his wife 30 minutes. I really don't think there are any qualified people that work at this place, pitiful. Do n... read more
My takeaway is that don't be poor and out of insurance because no one will help you. Awful customer service. Worst clinic that I have ever visited. I was treated like a dirt. I had bad experience with them in both dermatology and psychiatry departments. I wish I read Yelp before I went here, I would've chosen elsewhere. I went to see their Psychiatrist several months ago, and the receptionist didn't even tell me the suite number. It took me a while to find the right suite. While I was suppose to see one doctor, but they re... read more
I was not a patient but my loved one is. She was put on a 5150 hold after going to Kaiser for depression. An ER dr pencil wipped the paper work and declared her suicidal (even after explicitly stating several times that she wasnt. She has depression but isnt suicidal). Once she arrived at this facility she has been locked in with 5250 patients (patients that are dangerous and she has been physically assaulted), most are so drugged that they cant function. The place is a mess with cockroaches running around. So far 2 days in,... read more
I apparently have Major Depressive Disorder, and I am pregnant with twins I voluntarily check myself in here on Monday 5/13/19 to seek help because my depression kept worsening and affecting my performance at work and school. My intake nurse assured me that I was in good hands and that I would be taken care of. I was pretty out of it and had a headache but Nurse Kim made sure I got to my room and got some rest. I was pretty hopeful until the next morning. I woke up and the person responsible for checking on me came in and ... read more
My son was there, he was on a court ordered hold for two weeks because he barely survived a suicide attempt and his health was not good. He was released two days later with out me knowing. I called to check on him today and was transferred four times, no one seemed to know if he was there or not until the last transfer and they weren't sure of why he was released. I was supposed to get a call back from the director, that didn't happen. My son shows up tonight in a fragile state. He has Medicare and medical which seems to eq... read more
