Horrible service from the nurses and doctors. They talk to you like your stupid and beneath them. They don't have anything for you to outside of scheduled times so no coloring or drawing u just sit there and stare at the tv. They messed up my documents saying i was gravely disabled and refusing treatment which is all not true. I participated in all the activities and even the hearing officer could see i'm not "gravely disabled". None of the therapy works. I was placed with people with much worse conditions who made me feel u... read more
Kaiser sent me here while I was still trying understand where they are taking me. I didn't know what happened and why I was at the Hospital at this moment. This hell hole tried to first diagnose me as suicidal even though they didn't take a good look at my Medication and the drug reaction for surgery medication, shingles, and flu within a month time frame. Social worker assistant started to say I am bi-polar even though I've told them a thousand times that I am an insomniac. They tried to slap me with a 5520 to keep me in... read more
This review is for their PHP program. I would have rated it higher if not for their disastrous way of discharging clients. Every staff member in this program is super nice, but it all came together in a way that wasn't super helpful. A lot of groups had this basic layout: we got a group topic (e.g. symptoms of depression, or anger, or self-compassion), we got a piece of information about the topic, we went in a circle where every client described how they related to the piece of information we just got. Often clients share... read more
Really bad customer service, reception barely answer the phone. Doctors never return phone calls. Family member has been there over a week and they won't let them leave, still have not been updated with any plan for our family member nor have they updated us with a diagnosis to why they feel they should be on medication. Pretty on the outside but that will never make up for what's going on behind closed doors. Definitely would not recommend.
There are so many stories I could share about bad behavior at this hospital, but the best is from Dr. Kiswani Ogwaro. After justifying the nursing staff's behavior and finally signing off with me, I quote her verbatim: "Take care of yourself. Take care of your son. You know, mental illness runs in the family." The last part was so unnecessary and I wish I had a recording. I've done everything not to lose my cool but this team has tested my patience in the 4 days I've had to work with them. They have no business deal... read more
This place was very very bad. They almost killed me by making me drink something I'm allergic to and if i cried they told me to "act your age damn it or we are making your hold longer" if you have a mental health emergency get treatment someone where else. Stanford hospital was much better then this mental health hell! This place must be shut down and a new place to be built! This place is hell for everyone! Don't not seek help here you won't get it! Go to a hospital instead!
I was there in 2018. I'm sure it hasn't changed. One of my roommates there coughed up blood or puked blood and was happy because he was allowed to go to a hospital. It was so bad a guy who puked up blood was happy to go to a hospital. Do you know how insane of an environment that would take? I do. I was there. I was locked in a small room with 10 -15 teens and it was hell on earth if not worse in some regards. Kids running into the walls trying to kill themselves. A kid huddled in a corner mumbling to himself. Kids saying th... read more
Alright, so I'm coming out as a frequent patient of the hospital. I've been there five or six times but I can't recall how many times because time doesn't matter in there, asides from the day you sign papers to come in (btw the paperwork would take hours to fill out I'll get to that later) and what day of the week it is for food. Keep in mind this is an account of the Youth units spanning from years ~2016-2019 and hospitalized for SUI. So starting off. STAFF: Good: Split down the middle of good and bad. I'll start with the... read more
Just an update, I never received my medical records even after filling out the form on their website. Shocker.
