I have tried just about every diet there is to try and have always failed. This program is the best way to lose weight. I have lost 52lbs and no that I will get to my goal weight loss of 70 lbs. I am excited to get to the maintenance stage of the diet and live the rest of my life without the weight that I was before I started this journey. By the way I lost this weight in less than 3 months. THANKS SOTA!!!!!

The staff is nice but the program is very restrictive for an active small business owner. The price is extremely high and my liver enzymes became elevated and I’m asking to have a refund on the weeks I’ve not used up I was told that there’s no refunds and that the money will stay in there system forever since I can come back wherever I feel like it but since it’s hurting my health I won’t come back. I was told to find another Sota weight loss client and sell it to them or gift it away to anyone. This is a terrible business m... read more

Business response:

Hello Dennys, restricting the junk food and drink that makes a person fat and sick and replacing it with a moderate amount of healthy protein and healthy fats and ample healthy vegetables and drinking lots of clean water and walking 30 minutes every day, as you then drop unnecessary fat-weight, cannot hurt your health. There are many health conditions that can elevate liver enzymes, a healthy diet will not elevate liver enzymes. Any dietary program that enables a person to slim down has to "restrict" those specific "foods... read more

I was in the program for 15 months and lost weight of 72 lbs down to my goal of 185 lbs. it was a struggle all the way because Sota is not for the undisciplined. I would gain back and then have to lose the same weight again.. I have now moved into the maintenance phase and I’m holding by desired weight for several weeks in a row. So the overall program works. I was disappointed by the fact that I never saw the saw person from week to week. Each person had different slants on what was acceptable foods to eat. When you go to a... read more

You should be upfront about the price. You would save your staff and clients that don’t have or are not willing to pay the funds the time. You should describe your program better. I felt like the expectation was that I would pay a ridiculous amount of money up front for a program that was not really well described. All I heard if packaged food, a body vitiating machine and providing accountability through regular check ins. This did not add up. Felt very much like a scam. Don’t contact me again.

Not quite as communicative as I would like. Not sure the theory behind seeing a different seeing a different counselor every time . No real relationships built .

On our first visit, staff seemed happy to see us. Excited about the prospects for us, high energy. Now on the routine weigh ins, it is very methodical, low energy. More perfunctory now. Less personal now than when we were being sold.

The program is expensive and not for active people who only have 20 lbs to loose. No exercise while on program, only 30 minutes of brisk walking. They cannot figure out a plan for active people to loose weight without starving them. On the plus side I have learned lots of healthy nutritional recipes and am detoxed from sugar and gluten.

Firstly, youre not transparent about what the program is about and most importantly, the cost. For an average middle class person, you got my hopes up. Then finally when you had me reeeled in, you pull the rug out with the cost. I seriously tried to work the numbers because I really wanted this. Needed this. But I can't afford it. Should have known better when you kept bragging about the cowboys and the mavs. I'm just a simple middle class looking for help. You made me pay a $25 non refundable fee just to walk in the door. I ... read more

Business response:

Hello Kimberly, very sorry for your experience. The majority of our clients do not have an issue as to the cost. The cost being commensurate with the seriousness and severity of the condition. The cost of the program depends upon many factors such as gender, age, complicating health conditions, medications, alcohol use and ability to brisk walk. Cost is dependent upon the number of weeks estimated by your nutritionist given these "factors." There are many weight loss programs out there with varying degrees of cost and e... read more

The dietitians are great! Very supportive. I struggle with the food restrictions and artificial sweeteners. It is difficult to get in the amount of vegetables when so many are off limits
