Great quiet get away My wife and I have stayed at the Fisherman 4 times and we're headed back this Saturday for another relaxing week. We usually don't eat any meals except breakfast (which is the only good meal served) since we can walk less than 1 mile into town thru the residential section. There aren't any big hotels on this section of Playacar. The next street over takes you to the lively fashionable large hotels which we have stayed at only once. I got very bad service and treatment from reception.
Cons: Property is not well kept, front desk people are not very helpful, rooms are not as spacious as indicated in the pictures Pros: restaurant service very nice, servers are kind and dedicated, hotel location is great, good price
Sunset Fisherman The all inclusive experience is fair to poor. Dinner quality was mediocre at best and the staff was not very accommodating. We met family who stayed in another unit and the dining staff was resistant to moving two tables together, a fairly simple task. One restaurant and one outside grill. Staff kind of rude. This place is NOT a resort. Absolutely horrible This is not a resort. They staff was not helpful at all. During checkin they took our info and literally didn't give us any info. They have two bars the pool bar closed at 5 everyday therefore you had to go into the lobby to get anything after 5. You can not get a drink after 10:30 including water. Beautiful in the photos, not in real life. The place is really run down and it was really dificultto find even with a GPS. The beach does not smell good.
