very large and clean room with a hot tub on the balcony, beautiful resort, pool bar, family friendly, the food was okay, and hot tub was available

The staff was extremely nice and courteous. The grounds were well kept. We especially enjoyed the complimentary boat shuttle to the sister resort.
I really liked the room, it had an adobe feel with arched doorways and was very cool and comfortable. The bathroom was small but functional. Where I was disappointed was in the concierge service and the restaurants. All of the restaurants were full when we arrived, there was no room for reservations. You could go early or late, but there was no guarantee there would be room for you at anything other than the buffet. Staff was very caring and friendly, clean rooms too.
Rooms were clean and staff was attentive and extremely friendly. Food was very good although not authentic Mexican. Drinks were strong and plenty. Their sister resorts (especially Sunset Royal) are also very nice and accommodating. Definitely recommend and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
We originally booked Sunset Marina Yacht Club, but at check-in the front desk told us it was overbooked and offered us an “upgrade” to Sunset Royal Beach Resort. We agreed and spent most of our five-day stay there, although we later visited Sunset Marina for one day. After seeing both properties, we definitely preferred Sunset Marina Yacht Club.
