Working with Susan and her team throughout the application and approval process went fairly smoothly. There was a major hiccup at close that almost resulted in us delaying our close until the next week. As a first time homebuyer, this generated a lot of stress for my wife and I. The issues we experienced had nothing to to with the individuals working at Mutual of Omaha- the people we worked with were all wonderful. Our issues had more to do with the inherent policies and procedures that Mutual of Omaha has in place to approve loans for highly qualified contracted professionals starting new jobs. Our situation is unique but not unheard of. I will never recommend Mutual of Omaha for mortgage lending services.
