It is a neighborhood gem, one of the stable places on 8th Street in Eastern Market. Reliable place to go for dinner. I brought an out-of-town friend. She enjoyed (especially) the chocolate milkshake (smile).

Katy was an outstanding server. Came in on the way from work to a volunteer meeting in MD. It was burger and shake night. Good jazz playing and the movie was Miricle on 34th Street. While Ted's Bulletin is no miracle on 8th Street, it has comfort food even folks who doubt Santa will love.

My first visit and I enjoyed the ambiance, food, and service. Grilled cheese and tomato soup hit the spot. Looking forward to another visit.

I was visiting DC with a frend from Slovakia. I wanted a American type menu at a reasonable price. The food was great. Our waiter was very attentive and my friend enjoyed the delicious Pop Tarts that he never heard of. I descibed to him that when you buy them in the store they taste like cardboard but these were delicious! Great place!

We got there before it got busy and yet it took 10 minutes to get a drink order in after we sat down. Things got better though and the food was good.

What an awesome place. The good is fantastic, and they are always coming up with new flavors for their famous homemade pop tarts. Playing black and white classic TV shows in the dining room is the cherry on top. A great spot.

Ted's Bulletin is one of a limited number of breakfast-serving places in Capitol Hill. It has a nice retro appearance, and servers are friendly. I also like the practice of leaving a water jug and coffee pot on the table--easy refills. However, the breakfast food is just mediocre. Folks at my table had egg dishes, the hot cereal, and a side of cheesy grits. One person declared his hot cereal barely edible due to saltiness. The rest of us deemed our food OK but no better than we might get at a cheaper greasy spoon. I would co... read more
