Very kid friendly, we went better for Sunday brunch. Try the pop tarts! We will be back.
Brunch at Ted's Bulletin was good, not outstanding, but solid. We made an 8:30 reservation, the latest reservation they take, for 4 people and had to wait about 10 minutes while they finished cleaning our table. We of course had the homemade pop-tarts, which were very buttery but other than that lacked flavor. I had the corned beef hash, which was a bit of a let down. There were huge chunks of corned beef but they were dry and the potatoes were greasey. Other diners had the biscuits and gravy, and eggs and bacon- which were ... read more
We went to Ted's for dinner on a balmy Sunday evening. The service was attentive and friendly, we sat outside so it took a little longer to get served. The food was good diner style fare: large portions and tasty. The milkshakes are a real treat.
Wow! We came here 4 times during the week we were in Washington. Everything we had was perfectly prepared and incredibly tasty....the chili, the sloppy joes, the eggs, the taco salad, the breakfast burrito (walk of shame), and, of course....the warm chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream and the chocolate shakes. I would give anything to have a place like this in Los Angeles!
Too many delicious options on this menu NOT to want to come back again and again!
Ted's is a favorite of mine and I've been there a lot. The service is always ALWAYS great (has been for me, anyway) and I love the movie being shown on the back wall. The food is great, the shake my son got was amazing. I had one of the Ted's beers and it was so good and the portion sizes are large. We didn't get any poptarts this time but if you go, you MUST get at least one. The peanut butter/bacon one is crazy good. Share it with someone 'cause it's huge and delicious.
I love the ambiance here...feels like you're in an episode of Mad Men. However, it's definitely overpriced and the food isn't always as exciting as the decor. For example, the grilled cheese and tomato soup really just tastes like an American cheese on white bread with canned soup...except that it's $10 dollars! The homemade poptarts also aren't served warm and have way too much dough over filling. However, the eggplant parm was maybe the best I'd ever had. Hit or miss.
Everything was good. However they weren't prepared for our reservation so we ended up waiting around for 20 min for our table. The wait staff was very nice tho and the food is definitely good although my burger was slightly over cooked.
I had a salad and my friend's popeye burger looked great. He also had a homemade blueberry cheesecake poptart and said it was pretty tasty! I had a "Nutty Professor" adult milkshake and it was excellent! A little on the pricier side of things.
