Good food and lovely cocktails. Service was a bit hit and miss. Usually at Thai & Chinese resturants, Prawn Crackers are placed on the table when you are seated. Surprised that we didn't received these. All in all it was a nice dining experience.
An authantic place with great thai food. The service is outstanding, food tasty and generous portions. The thai crackers to start with are the best crackers I have ever tasted. The pad thai is nice and tasty, I just wish there was more prawns in there. I could count only 4 last time. This is a place I keep returning to as you get your food very quickly, its a great place too for a quick bite to eat.
Food was good but overall too expensive for location, service and food.
Return trip to this lovely restaurant proved what we already knew. Beautiful food in a charming setting with attentive, friendly staff. A favourite place.
The restaurant itself is a lovely setting and well worth a visit. I dined here twice this week with different groups and the food was very good both times. Prawn red curry was tasty but a little mean on the prawns, which given the surcharge was a bit disappointing. The sea bass was excellent, well flavoured with a good portion of bok choi served underneath. The downside is its a bit on the pricey side. 1st meal £35 per head for 1/4 bottle wine, main and desert. 2nd meal was £27 per head for main, shared desert and mineral wa... read more
For me this restaurant provides the genuine taste of Bangkok. Food is never less than good and service always friendly and helpful. The venue, the old Tudor Tavern provides a tasteful backdrop. If it is very busy its usually quieter upstairs. There are few restaurants in St Albans where food and service are such of a consistently high standard - in years of visiting this restaurant I have never been disappointed - that is quite something.
Once again a lovely meal at Thai Square. Food excellent, shame its rather pricey so think twice before coming too frequently.
My partner and I have eaten at the Thai Square in St. Albans a number of times & really rate it. The food is delicious but the cocktails are fantastic - strawberry daiquiris and mojitos are highly recommended. The venue itself is very authentic & always gets busy at the weekends, so definitely book in advance. It's the sort of place that you can happily spend all night in eating & drinking without it costing a fortune!
Great family atmosphere. Food very tasty and addictive. Really want to visit with my husband for an evening. The bar area looks very trendy
